Assure Method
With 90 percent accuracy the 1st grade students will list and recite the months of the year
in the correct order by the end of the week after engaging in many different activities such as
group participation, songs, videos, demonstrations, and a class activity.
Analyze Learners
● A 1st grade class of Special ed children in which 10 are boys and 7 are girls and 7
of the children have mild to severe ADHD.
State Objectives
Students will
● Listen and engage in the introduction of months.
● Associate a holiday and season with every month.
● Know which “number” each month is.
● Participate in all activities.
Select Methods, Media, and Material
Methods
● Teacher will first introduce all 12 months to the students.
● Teacher will then show a video explaining all 12 months.
● Students will then learn a song to help them know the order of the months,
● Teacher will teach a brief lesson on holidays in each month.
● Students will engage in a class activity in which each student is a month and they
must know which number the month is and what type of weather usually occurs
during that month.
● Students will lastly draw a small picture for each month of what they think
represents that month.

Material
● Drawing and coloring utensils for the students pictures that represent the months
● Sticky labels for each child to wear to identify their assigned month
● Working laptop
● Projector to show the video
Utilize Media and Materials
● Teacher will need a working laptop and projector for the Youtube video.
● Teacher will draw an example of a picture representing each month.
● Students will use coloring utensils for their assignments
● Teacher will assign each student a sticky label for their shirt.
Require Learner Participation
● Students will work together while determining the order they should line up.
● Students will share their final pictures with the class.
● Students will participate in the song as a whole.
Evaluate and Revise

● Students will be able to associate an occasion with each month.
