2. The concept of "environmental protection".
Environmental protection - a system of
measures for rational use of natural resources,
conservation of special and unique natural
complexes and environmental safety.
3. What activities related to environmental
protection.
Environmental protection is any activity aimed at preserving
the quality of the environment at a level that ensures the
stability of the biosphere. It includes a large-scale, carried
out at the national level, actions to conserve reference
models untouched nature and preserving the diversity of
species on Earth, the organization of research, training and
environmental education of the population and individual
enterprises to clean pollutants from wastewater and gases
released into the atmosphere, decrease of natural resources.
These activities are carried out mainly engineering methods.
4. What is environmental safety.
Environmental security - it is the environment where guaranteed
prevent environmental degradation and human health.
The most complete definition of environmental safety as part of
the public domain: a set of actions and a set of appropriate
measures and processes that ensure the ecological balance of the
planet and its various regions along to which man can adapt
physically, socially, economically and politically without
significant losses.
5. Sources of pollution and the main types of pollution. Air
Protection.
Atmospheric air is polluted by various gases, fine particles and
liquids that adversely affect living things, worsening conditions
of their existence. The sources of the contamination can be
natural and artificial.
Natural pollution. Normally, natural sources of pollution do not
cause significant changes in the air. Intense spreading some
natural sources of pollution in a particular area (emissions of
ash and gases by volcanoes, forest and steppe fires).
6. Artificial atmospheric pollution is due to changes in its
composition and properties under the influence of human
activities. According to the structure and nature of the impact
on air pollution artificial sources conventionally divided into
technical and chemical.
