If I’m the general manager, the step I would have taken in M/s Auto
CNC automotive industry are:
As a general manger I will encourage the workers by breaking
down the barriers between department and workers by making
changes assigning people into teams.
I will create an environment that encourages workers to ask
questions, report problems and try new ideas.
I will treat workers as a human resource not as a commodity for
achieving the target.
Continuous training will be given to workers to understand the
latest machines, new tools and techniques for making
continuous improvement.
I will remove pressure from quality inspector for quality
complaints by giving responsibility to workers to used statistical
tools help in controlling activity.
B) Which are the Deming’s Quality principles not followed?
Justify each point and provide solution for each.
Deming all 14 principles is not followed in M/s Auto CNC
automotive industry.
Create constancy of purpose for continual improvement of
product and service- M/s Auto Company need to define its
values mission and vision of the future to provide long term
direction for its management and employees. It will help
business to serve their customer and employees.
2. Adopt the new philosophy for economic stability- Company
needs to adapt new philosophy to keep their firms and its
functions alive and growing in today’s competitive environment
and must learn the new philosophy.
Cease dependency on inspection to achieve quality- Remove
pressure from quality inspector for quality complaints by giving
responsibility to workers to used statistical tools help in
controlling activity.
End the practice of awarding business on the basis of price tag
alone- Companies managers must identify and assess all of the
effects and costs created by every purchase from the supplier.
It is necessary for managers to do total assessment of any
purchase.
Improve constantly and forever every process for planning,
production, and service- Company are required to do
necessary improvements by understanding customer needs
through continual market surveys and other sources of
feedback.
Institute training on the job- Training will help workers and
managers to bring improvement in quality and productivity.
Adopt and institute modern methods of supervision and
leadership- Managers need to motivate and support the
activities of workers by providing guidance and encourage
them as a teamwork.
Drive out fear- Managers need to create an environment that
