I am an enthusiastic enterprise educator, business acceleration coach & entrepreneur
who has launched a range of hyper local, community support, self-led arts, food
growing & destination marketing companies. I am known for growing robust,
sustainable & values driven successful teams & businesses across the UK & globally.
I have managed portfolios of over 45 successful student start up & growing SMEs
supplying 1-2-1 coaching, accelerator & one off training programmes within University
Enterprise, Research & Innovation teams & worked within corporates teams &
departments at The V&A, G-Adventures, Economy of Hours (ECHO) & Diabetes UK.
I have worked within a range of award winning enterprise educator teams at London
South Bank University, UCL and University of East London. In all roles I have co-lead on
the co-design of in & out of curriculum enterprise one off & longer start up to scale up
programmes. I work with Heads of Enterprise departments, vice Provosts, academics,
professional support teams & external freelance entrepreneurs to grow student
centred robust programmes using practical, skills based learning to boost student
& graduate start up rates. I am used to working within TEF and KEF frameworks.
I have taught for over 30 years in a range of settings from early years, primary,
secondary, adult learning, FE, HE & non-formal ‘alternative’ education settings. I have
been a guest module lead for an MBA unit in Leadership & Management at Colchester
Institute & HND IT Live Project module at The School for Engineering, London South
Bank University. I was the first female guest lecturer in coaching skills, creative thinking
& self esteem mentoring for Idea Store Adult Learning Programme in Tower Hamlets;
earning Grade 1 Ofsted in internal levelling & Grade 2 Ofsted from external assessors.
I am currently completeing Level 3 Award in Education & Training to consolidate my
experience & aim to work towards a Phd linking creativity, learning, enterprise & social
regeneration in the next 5-10 years.
I have over 15 years project & conference management experience working in complex,
multi stakeholder partnerships, generally over the periods of 2, 3 to 5
years cycles of change & regeneration. I have experience of working with local,
regional & central government, social housing & local community activist groups
using coaching as a leadership style to develop working practices that are open,
collaborative & accountable. I am used to underpinning my work linked to Quality
Assurance marks such as Investors in People, PQASSO, Our Museum & Positive
about Disability marks. I have extensive project evaluation & report writing skills.
I currently support diverse start up & mid scale clients from across the UK & globally
to seek & secure investment through crowd funding such as Kickstarter, Crowdcube
& growth accelerators such as Pi Labs. Since 2002 I have co-led & worked in
teams raising over £9 million of mixed revenue & capital funding supporting
communities across the UK including Riverbank capital campaign, Kairos Foundation
Global Match funding UK programme, DCMS Find Your Talent, HLF, ESF, Arts Council
England funding, Lottery & Reclaim Our River wins £50K via People’s Millions ITV
SW crowd funding. I am an active member of sharing economy communities such as
Economy of Hours (ECHO), Embercombe & The RSA.
My mission is to co-create win-win, coaching led solutions for learners who address real
needs in the face of fast paced change such as devolution, Brexit & climate change.

2. ENTERPRISE EDUCATION EXPERIENCE
2017 – to date As Learning Facilitator for School for Social Entrepreneurs NW
I am co-designing a range of short term & long term
environmental social enterprise workshops & fellowship
programmes within secondary, college & entrepreneur
self directed learning settings. I am working with Our Bright
Futures; a national programme to accelerate young people’s
leadership & employability skills & working to accredit our
programmes with John Muir Awards. I have launched a
Hackathon, am developing sold courses &
am leading in developing SSE NW social media reach across
the NW & the UK.
2017 Business Accelerator Advisor, UCL Entrepreneurship,
Enterprise & Innovation team @ BASEKX Enterprise Hub with
a portfolio of 45 + student, graduate, academic & community
tenant led SMEs across digital, creative, social enterprise,
medi-tech, media, education & STEM start ups. Supporting UCL
