promote and present diverse cultures focusing on African-American cultural
heritage.
2. Culrural & Arts Center at 300 East 3rd St.

Reopened in 2010
3. What's the Lyric do?
Live shows, radio
Summer programs
Community outreach
Tours
"A community rising"
4. Lyric's new new media tools
Facebook group- rather than actual page, many
flyers and upcoming events posted
Twitter- relatively frequent posts, links to website
and links to donate, not all flyers are tweeted
Website- updated, easy to navigate, pleasing to the
eye, includes calendar which is very important
Reviews on Yelp
6. Analysis
Call Lyric and ask who does their website and
social media
Along with local publications and radio coverage, I
think the FaceBook, Twitter, and website promote
upcoming events and reach the eyes of the
community members who are interested in music
and the arts, as well as members of the
neighborhood. Their traditional sign is effective.
7. Strengths
Calendar is easily accessible
Work with Bluegrass Community Foundation
Flyers are printed as well as posted online
Informational, not much missing
8. Weaknesses/Recommendations
Even though FaceBook group has many members,
making an actual page would be more functional
Not all flyers are posted on Twitter
No LinkedIn, however, might not be necessary
