Writing ad copy is the difference between success and failure as an Internet marketer. If
you want to become an Internet marketing success story, you have to know the ins
outs of writing ad copy.
If you don’t know what writing ad copy is, it is simply getting people to buy a product or
service through the written word. “Ad Copy” is short for “Advertising Copywriting”. If
you were to approach any successful Internet marketer, they would know exactly
you mean when you talk about writing ad copy.
Today, I want to give you some starting points for writing ad copy successfully. It will
take practice and time but will be worth it in the end. Think of it this way, you can write
one sales letter, put it on the Internet, and have it work for you 24/7 and generate you
money. Writing ad copy is definitely worth the time and effort for your Internet business.
5 Tips For Writing Ad Copy Successfully
I am going to spill the basics on writing ad copy. I won’t
these techniques, but most Internet marketers, new or seasoned, don’t know how to go

1. Tell Stories
This is one of the biggest takeaways, if not the biggest, when your
because people love stories. Have you ever noticed that people always like to couch
things with the back story? Remember the “Tell me about yourself” question in an
interview? We always told our job story up until that very interview.

2. Use Numbers
When writing ad copy, people are attracted to numbers. If you have been online for
sometime, or even a small amount of time, you probably see headlines like “3 Secrets
To…” or “7 Steps To…”. This is no accident because in writing ad copy, people literally
gravitate towards numbers, dollar amounts, percentages, and so forth. I mean, what is the
title of this section above
3. Use Dialogue
I learned this technique from an 8-figure Internet marketer and it is amazing. When
writing ad copy, actually use dialogue by using quotation marks around sentences. When
you do this, you aren’t telling the story from your perspective anymore, you are an
outsider looking in to what is being said. Also, if you received a text message, write it out
exactly how it was sent to you.
4. Use Powerful Language
Writing ad copy is all about writing powerful words that sell. Words like “Secrets,”
“Formula,” “Critical,” “Secrets,” “Important,” “Buy Now,” “Click Here,” and so fort are
all words that hit on triggers within us. For example, a headline that says, “Learn How A
Broke 24 Year Old Used His 5 Year Old Laptop To Generate His First 5-Figure Month
Online.” That headline will grab your attention and you will want to keep reading on.
5. Call To Action
The most important part of writing ad copy is the call to action. You can tell a great story,
give all the benefits and features, but if you don’t tell people to buy now, they won’t. You
have to tell people exactly what to do or they simply won’t do it.
Writing Ad Copy Conclusion
I hope you found some value here talking about writing ad copy. Copywriting is probably
highest paid profession today. I know that’s a bold claim but guys like Dan Kennedy can
charge upwards of 6-figures to write the copy and keep a percentage of the profits from
the campaign.
