1. How effective is the combination of your
main product and ancillary text?
2. Brand Identity
Brand identity is used to connect the viewers and
audience to the brand, it created product
recognition. The (logo,colouring,typeface etc.) helps
to bring in their target market and appeal to their
customers.
I looked at the brand identity for Inception, in the
posters and magazine covers the colour scheme,
dark blues and greys, was very similar creating a link
between them and also helping to show the genre
of the film. Both products use a strong red
colour which stands out and draws the viewers eyes
in. They also have very similar font that helps create
the mood of the products and again link them
together.
3. Me and My shadow
Throughout our production there are similar themes
linking all the products together, in all our products we
chose a bold red for the titles this fitted with our genre
and also stood out drawing the audience in. We also
looked at having a dark filter over the top of all our
products again this helped to show the genre and help
to show the mood we want to be created. In both the
magazine and poster cover we used the same font as it
links the two together.
We also had a tagline that we used on the poster and in
the teaser trailer "Not even the darkness can hide her
shadow, this shows a clear link between the two
products.
All of our products show the protagonist and vulnerable,
we used her facial expressions and body language
throughout the products to help try and create that
feeling of vulnerability.
