So even if you’re just looking at one protocol, there’s multiple layers of detail you need to know in order to work with that protocol. Even if two devices talk Zigbee, you really need two devices with the same profile and version for them to interoperate. So the problem is harder than what it looks at the surface – its pretty hard at the surface too.
So lets assume you have 2 devices and they speak the same protocol, and have the same profile version etc. Are we off to the races?
