3. Worldwide organizations for economic
and political self-reliance
Chairman Omali Yeshitela will be participating in the Marcus
Garvey Legacy Tour over the next couple months which
consists of events in 5 cities throughout Europe. These are just a
few more pictures of Uhuru Movement leaders and members
from Sweden and France, and the Uhuru Movement is in
Columbia and many other places in the world.

Including playing a leading role in The Black is Back Coalition for Social Justice,
Peace and Reparations which has a very important mobilization and conference
coming up this November 3 & 4 in Washington DC as well the The International
People’s Democratic Uhuru Movement’s Diop Olugbala for Mayor campaign.
5. Democratic Rights, and Social Justice
The Uhuru Movement is defending the democratic rights in the African community
and fighting for social justice including taking on issues of housing, education,
police violence, economic development and more!

The Uhuru Movement boldly leads around every issue facing African people, showing
Africans that no matter where they exist on the planet they experience the same
contradictions – not from racism – but from colonialism

the world! It is in US, and also distributed throughout Europe and the world as well as in
other languages. Uhuru Radio, is the weekly online voice of the International African
revolution, with weekly programming from news and analysis to music and more! These

9. Community Self-Reliance and Survival
The Uhuru Movement is building Community Self-Reliance and Survival programs – this
includes community gardens from coast to coast – youth survival retreats, teaching kids
important skills, the Marcus Garvey Saturday School and much more. These programs
are led by the Uhuru Movement’s All African People’s Development and Empowerment
Project and these are just a couple pictures of the gardens in Texas and California as
well as one pic from the youth survival retreat held here in Florida last year…
10. Black Community Economic Empowerment
Black Star Industries is an economic project that the Uhuru Movement initiated to build
independent economic development and commerce for and between African people
worldwide. Just some of the programs of BSI are pictured here including Uhuru Foods &
Pies and One Africa! One Nation! Marketplaces. Other programs of the Uhuru
Movement include: Youth Educational Supplies, the Uhuru House community centers,
Uhuru Furniture and Collectibles, Uhuru Jiko community kitchens and more!
11. Health and Fitness
The Uhuru Movement’s All People’s TyRon Lewis Community gym in St. Pete offers
low rates for membership, exciting new programs like the 30-day challenge and the Fit
Camp for Kids. Also, in Philadelphia the Uhuru Movement just held a Health and
Wellness fair that was extremely successful. There are just a couple pictures there as
well as a picture of the daily exercises included in the Youth Survival Retreat.
12. Infant and Maternal Mortality, and
other programs in Sierra Leone
The Uhuru Movement’s All African People’s Development and Empowerment Project
has several programs in Sierra Leone in West Africa where they are taking on critical
issues like infant and maternal mortality with nursing schools and clinics for pregnant
women, as well as education programs, agricultural programs and fishing programs
which work together to create self-sustainability for the African communities there.
13. Defining True Solidarity, Participating in
Reparations in Action
The Uhuru Solidarity Movement is an organization of the Uhuru Movement and works
under its leadership. We are defining what it means to be in solidarity with African
liberation, we participate in Reparations in Action, and get out into our community show
how others in our communities can support African liberation.
14. Throughout this campaign we’ve hit the streets in California, Michigan, Texas, Florida,
Pennsylvia, Massechusetts, as well as in Warsaw Poland!

I hear that cars were honking as they went by, everyone so happy to see the kids out there boxing and exercising together!
