Falcon's Invoice Discounting: Your Path to Prosperity
Schedule
1. Week beginning Work completed
Summer holidays
Monday 8th September This week we were introduced to the A-Level media course, and we
were told all about the units we will be studying. We were shown some
work from previous years so we knew what our final coursework would
look like and what tasks we have to do t get there. We also have
started our log books as an introduction to our coursework.
Monday 15th September This week we began planning for our preliminary task, to do
this we had to do magazine research which included looking at
front covers and contents pages and learning about the codes
and conventions. We have been learning how to analyze
magazines and think about color schemes and layout options.

2. Monday 20th October We began our front cover for our preliminary task at the end of last
week so my main aim before breaking up for half term was to finish
the contents page as I didn't want to have to worry about it over
half term. I've also drawn out my had drawn drafts and began to
think bout how my contents page will look by actually laying it out
on Photoshop using the shape tool.
Half term
Monday 3rd November After getting back from half term I have updated my log book and
added the content to the layout page I built for my contents page,
the contents page was put together much quicker than I thought as
I have never used Photoshop before I thought I would have found it
more difficult but I didn’t.
Monday 10th November This week I began my main task, I bgan to do it like I began my
preliminary task, I made a basic layout then filled it in with all the
correct pictures and text, I also made sure that I stuck to the codes
and conventions, its only taken me 2 double lessons to complete so
at the end of the week I began to do my contents page in the same
way.
3. Monday 17th
November
This week I completed my contents page, it took me one lesson
last week and then another two this week, I used a basic layout I
made with shapes so that it made the process quicker for me. As
I had three lessons left this week managed to get the majority of
my double page spread done. This week was a very successful
week for me.
Monday 24st
November
This week I completed more of my log book and began to look
back over my 4 main task pages, making sure I was 100% happy
with them before beginning my interviews and evaluation. There
was s few minor changes and a couple of major changes that I
made.
Monday 1th December After completing the changes I began my interview process,
asking members of my target audience a few questions so that
from this I could get some extra feedback which I then made
changes to my work from.
Christmas holidays
4. Monday 12th January This week I decided to re-write my editors letter for my contents
page as I was not completely happy with my original one. I also put
my signature onto the page and edited a picture of myself to put on
there too.
Monday 19th January This I did more of my evaluation, trying to complete as much as I
could, this is the part that is taking me the most time as it has to be
very detailed.
Monday 9th February I finished my evaluation this week and tweaked my log book slightly
so it was to the standard I wanted it to be. I have began to lay out
my blog to look how I want it to.
Monday 16th February I have been working on my blog all week, uploading things to slide
share so I can embed them onto my blog, as it looks better if there
embedded.
Monday 2nd March Half way through this week I have finally completed my coursework
and made sure that everything is on my blog and that all my links
are working so that it can be marked.
