Notes de l'éditeur
Avoid adding unnecessary elements to each slide, your presentation should be the focus not your slides.
Use as little text as possible to ensure the audience is listening not just reading the slides.
Animations should not be used in every slide. If you choose to use slide transitions stick with something simple and professional.
Using high-quality images that are not pixelated or clip art adds to the sense of professionalism and keeps the presentation interesting by using uncommon graphics.
Designing your own layout for a presentation gives it a sense of uniqueness and is more likely to engage the audience, it also allows you to cohesively include everything you need for a slide.
Do not include too much information on each chart because it can become overwhelming and hard to read.
The use of the right color can evoke different emotions in your audience. Cool colors work well for background images while warm colors work best for items in the foreground.Make sure the colors you have chosen will be easily visible in the room where you are presenting.
Use one font consistently through your presentation.
Serif fonts (Times New Roman)- easier to read in small point sizes, not best for presenting with a projector.
Sans Serif (Helvetica, Arial)- generally best for presentations
Showing clips with concrete examples promote cognitive processing, A change of pace helps to keep the audience interested.
Avoid overused sound effects that can be found on PowerPoint
Review your presentation in Slide Sorter so you can get a bigger picture understanding of how your presentation is going to flow.
