2. Brief description of the Study
• The law enforcement profession is continuously
evolving.
• Police officers have considerably more risky
encounters than the general public.
• In response to rising community outrage, body-worn
cameras (BWCs) and other alternative recording
device (ARD) were introduced

• MC No. 2018-009 was drafted
• Supreme Court (2021) release the rules governing the
use of body-worn cameras
4. Since there is a scarcity in study of BWCs, more research is
needed to fully understand the breadth of BWCs’ impact on
police operations in Baguio City Police Office.
Main Objective of the Study
The main purpose of the study is to assess the
implementation of Body Worn Cameras (BWCs) and Alternative
Recording Device (ARD) Program as an aid in police operations
in Baguio City Police Office.

1. What is the level of knowledge of police officers in the
implementation of guidelines in using Body Worn Cameras
and Alternative Recording Device in the three stages of
police operations?
2. How effective is the implementation of Body Worn Cameras
and Alternative Recording Device program as an aid in
improving police operations?
3. What are some of the concerns in the implementation body-
