This document considers potential film distributors for a new psychological thriller film with a low budget. It analyzes both mainstream and independent distributors. For mainstream, Newline Cinema is identified as the best choice as it has successfully distributed similar psychological thriller films like The Butterfly Effect and Se7en. For independent distributors, Warp Films is identified as the most realistic option given its focus on low budget British films and audiences, making it a good fit for the new film's British actors and locations.

2. MAINSTREAM DISTRIBUTORS
Newline cinema is a popular distributor for
psychological thriller films due to it’s films
popularity. This distributor has released
films such as The Butterfly Effect and the
successful film Se7en. This would be a
good choice as although our film isn’t high
budget/mainstream it has released films
with a similar storyline where it follows the
protagonists self state of being and how
they become what they become.
Paramount is another possible
mainstream distributor for our film
as it has distributed popular
endorsed films such as shutter
island. Due to its release of a film
such as this it could be a distributor
for our films because we follow a
similar idea as the main character
suffers from flashbacks and
hallucinations.

3. INDEPENDENT DISTRIBUTORS
Warp films are a small British targeted
institution. This would be a more realistic
possible distributor as it doesn’t distribute
high budget films and targets British
audiences. Due to our film having British
actors and only a low budgeted film Warp
films could distribute our psychological
thriller as they have released films such
as : Dead Mans Shoes which is also a
thriller film similar to ours in the terms it
follows one character through a personal
state.
Haxan films is an independent
horror film distributor who has
distributed films such as Blair Witch
Project although it is horror based
our psychological thriller has horror
elements to it as well as the use of
hand held camera use for our film
which is also used in their films so
this could be a possible Distributor
for our film.

4. MAINSTREAM DISTRIBUTOR CHOICE
During the Mainstream Distributor research we came to the conclusion that Newline
cinema would be the best choice distributor for our film despite it being mainstream.
Newline cinema is a popular distributor for psychological thriller films due to it’s films
popularity. This distributor has released films such as The Butterfly Effect and the
successful film Se7en. This would be a good choice as although our film isn’t high
budget/mainstream it has released films with a similar storyline where it follows the
protagonists self state of being and how they become what they become. Therefore
this is why it would make the best distributor as it has released many successful
thriller films.

5. INDEPENDENT DISTRIBUTORS
