3. Answer to Question
• Most of Volcanoes are formed in Subduction
zones (Convergent Boundaries).
• Magma is melted rock which stored in Mantle,
one of earths layers and lava is magma which
reaches surface of lithosphere.
4. Summary
• Volcanoes formed out of magma and lava.
Lava is same as magma but it erupts in the
surface of lithosphere. Most of the Volcanoes
are located in Pacific ocean which called ring
of Fire and middle of ring of fire located Hot
Spot which because of hot spot created
Hawaii. There is 4 types of Volcanoes (Strato
Volcano, Cinder Cone, Shield Volcano and Hot
Spot).
5. Strato Volcano
Strato Volcano is made
up of layers of lava and
ashes. Strato volcano
is most explosive
volcano which
explodes up to 10 km

6. Cinder Cone
Cinder Cone Volcano
build up of ashes and
cinder. It’s explosive
volcano which
explodes up to 300
meter high.

7. Shield Volcano
Shield Volcano is
made of fluid lava.
These Volcanoes
are less explosive
and more quite
than other types of
volcanoes.

8. Hot Spot
Hot Stop is located in
Pacific ocean in Middle of
Ring of Fire. It constantly
erupts and makes an
island. Hawaii is one
example of Hot Spot.
While Lithosphere moves
Hotspot changes its
location and erupts from
different location.
