The Punjab Health Department is responsible for Punjab's public health system. Its vision is a healthy population with a sound healthcare system, and its mission is to improve the quality and coverage of health services. It aims to create disease awareness, expand patient care facilities, set health standards, and improve management of health services through programs like primary, secondary, tertiary care as well as preventive and promotive healthcare. The department has four wings that handle establishment, general administration, purchasing, and facility development.
