2. Entry&Exitformalities:
Entering India by air or land is relatively straightforward, with standard
immigration and customs procedures. A frustrating law barring re-entry into
India within two months of the previous date of departure has now been done
away with (except for citizens of some Asian countries), thus allowing most
travelerstocombinetheirIndiatourwithsidetripstoneighboringcountries.

Citizens of Australia, Brazil, Cambodia, Cook Islands, Djibouti, Fiji, Finland, Germany, Guyana,
Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Jordan, Kenya, Kiribati, Laos, Luxembourg, Marshall Islands, Mauritius,
Mexico, Micronesia, Myanmar, Nauru, New Zealand, Niue Island, Norway, Oman, Palau, Palestine,
Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Russia, Samoa, Singapore, Solomon
Islands,Thailand, Tonga, Tuvalu, UAE, Ukraine, USA, Vanuatu, and Vietnam are currently granted a
30-daysingle-entryvisaonarrival(VOA)atMumbaiairport.
However, to participate in the scheme, you need to apply online at https://indianvisaonline.gov.in
for an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA), a minimum of four and a maximum of 30 days before you
are due to travel. The fee is US$60, and you have to upload a photograph as well as a copy of your
passport. Travellers have reported being asked for documentation showing their hotel conrmation
at the airport, though this is not specied on the VOA website. The VOA is valid from the date of

3. Gateway of India
It is a monument built during the 20th century in
Mumbai City of Maharashtra state in Western India. It
is located on the waterfront in the Apollo Bunder area

Shivaji Terminus

this monumental train station is the city's most

Harbour, the rock-cut temples on Gharapuri, better

Taj Mahal Palace,

Mumbai's most famous landmark, this stunning
hotel is a fairy-tale blend of Islamic and Renaissance

Marine Drive
Built on reclaimed land in 1920, Marine Drive arcs
along the shore of the Arabian Sea from Nariman
Point past Girgaum Chowpatty and continues to the
foot of Malabar Hill. Lined with aking art deco
apartments, it's one of Mumbai's most popular
promenades and sunset-watching spots. Its
twinkling night-time lights earned it the nickname
'TheQueen'sNecklace'.
Global Vipassana
Pagoda
Recently inaugurated, the pompous meditation hall
has become a major attraction in Mumbai. Loved for
its golden decor and the massive dome, the pagoda
is surrounded by nature which makes the stunning
construction a perfect destination to achieve inner
peace.

The best way to get around Mumbai is through Uber or Olacabs.

and Fort and INR 450/550 to Bandra. The journey to Colaba takes about

Autorickshaws Available but they only go as far south as Bandra
(daytime/nightaroundINR 180/240).
Taxi From South Mumbai to the international airport should be around INR
500.Allowtwohoursforthe trip ifyoutravelbetween 4pm and8pm.
