- According to an analyst research report, Alipay had the biggest market share in China with 400 million users and control of just under half of China's online payment market in October 2016. According to Credit Suisse, the total value of online transactions in China grew from an insignificant size in 2008 to around RMB 4 trillion (US$660 billion) in 2012.
- The company makes money by charging service fees only when money is collected. Payments with a credit card are charged a 2.9% + $0.30 service fee of the total amount of money collected.
- First,go to alipay application site for making sure that you are using your email to register,http://memberprod.alipay.com/account/reg/email.htm.Then select your country.You have to choice of using chinese or foreign phone number.Use login password,payment password,security question,Id information,and passport number when filling your registration form.Login to your alipay account through http://www.alipay.com.If this is the first time you are visiting the it,you will need to install alipay applet in order to enter the password.Finally,you will need to make a deposit in your alipay account.

Where the Transaction Value of the preceding calendar month amounts to or exceeds RMB 10 million, the Applicable rate for the current calendar month is 2.0% of Transaction Value; Important Note: In calculating the Transaction Value for the purpose of applying the applicate Service Fee Rate herein, the Transaction Value associated with Merchant’s Web mode shall be calculated separately from Merchant’s Wap/App Mode.
