I started ‘Basic Shit’ as a college project to create awareness about sanitation. Research made me realize that, along with awareness, innovative solutions were required to be setup within the realms of governing bodies. I particularly wanted to address the issue of public urination, which affected me and others around me greatly in our daily lives. I started interviewing people who frequently urinate on the street to understand their mindset. Most common answers were the lack of urinals around.
