• WORKING EXPERIENCE OVER 08 YEARS SINCE FEBRUARY 2007 AS
QA/QC AND NDT INSPECTOR.
• JUNIOR SUPERVISOR INSPECTION (FAUJI FERTILIZER BIN
QASIM LTD. KARACHI, PAKISTAN).
• Manufacturing of ‘UREA’ and ‘DI-AMMONIA PHOSPHATE’ (DAP). It is
one of the most significant Plants in Pakistan.
• Owing to the curtailment of Natural Gas in the country, FFBL has planned to
install a Coal-fired Cogeneration Power Plant Project of 118MW Power
capacity.
Currently working as a Supervisor in the Erection & Commissioning of that
Coal-Fired Cogeneration Power Plant at Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Limited
(FFBL), Karachi since May 2015. This plant will not only fulfil power
requirements of the existing Fertilizer plant, but 60MW will also be exported
to K-Electric.
• STATIONARY EQUIPMENT INSPECTION:
• (VESSELS / COLOUMS / TANKS / HEAT EXCHANGERS / BOILERS).
• Detailed internal inspection of above mentioned stationary equipment’s.
• Ultrasonic thickness monitoring of in service vessels / columns / shells of heat
exchangers.
• Dye Penetrate Testing of welding inside columns and vessels. Widely used NDT
technique as pre requirement (Normal & High temperature).
• Magnetic Particle Inspection (Fluorescent and Contrast Paint) methods.
• Witness hydrostatics and leak testing / SFT of exchangers / boilers and piping.
• Coating thickness measurement using Delta scope MP-2c
• Inspection of corrosion under insulation.
• Hardness measurement of different materials.
• Holiday test of rubber lining of tanks.
• ROTARY EQUIPMENT INSPECTION:
• VIBRATION MONITORING
• Routine and planned casing vibration monitoring of rotary equipment using
DATAPAC 1500 and Dynamics-2500 instruments.
• Live vibration monitoring using BENTLY NEVADA ADRE SXP-408.
• Phase measurement.
• RPM monitoring using Stroboscope and Tachometer.

2. • NDT OF ROTARY PARTS:
• NDT techniques on machine parts e.g. DPT, MPT, Hardness testing, Material analysis of rotors /
wheels /impellers / shafts / bearings etc.
• PIPING INSPECTION:
• Thickness monitoring of in service critical plant piping to insure reliable /incident free plant
operation.
• External visual inspection of pipeline to see any rust /corrosion and also the condition of pipe
support especially of steam network.
• CUI (Corrosion under insulation Inspection).
• Holiday testing of wrapping of underground pipelines.
• Hydrostatics testing.
• Inspection of leaked piping box-up.
• Verify the piping box-up.
• WELDING INSPECTION:
• Visual Welding Inspection Of Welds
• Ferrite contents measurement in critical SS equipment’s and welds joints using Ferrite Scope MP30.
• Witness of the welder qualification as per ASME IX QW-461.4
• MOSTLY USED NDT TECHNIQUES:
• Skin Temperature measurement using contact and Non-contact type thermometer.
• Material Analysis with (Alloy Analyzer OMEGA XPD-2000).
• Inspection of corrosion under insulation.
• Coating thickness measurement using Delta scope MP-2c.
• Valve inspection.
• Radiographic Testing.
• Magnetic Particle Testing.
• Crane/Load Testing.
• Dye Penetrant Testing
• Boroscopy of heat exchanger tubes.
• Hardness testing of different materials using EQUO-TIP.
• Surface Profile Measurements.
• Holiday testing.
• QC Responsibilities:
• Inspection and acceptance to customer supplied materials, contractor supplied
materials such as Plates, Pipes, Fittings, as per requirements of the Specifications.
• Review of material test certificates as per Codes, Standards and specification.
• Review of Welding Procedure specification and Welder Qualification records as per
ASME-IX, AWS D1.1
• Witnessing the WQT AS PER ASME Sec IX.
• Welding Inspection & NDT inspection of Heavy Structural, Pressure Vessels, Tank &
Tank Nozzles, Pipe fit up & alignment.
• Witness of Hydro test and Pneumatic test
• Documentation of Quality records
• Preparation of reports against NDT results like RT, MPT, DPT, and Thickness
monitoring etc.
