1.
2. This is the opening shot of the documentary.
It starts with a blank screen and the voice
over of the children singing the McDonalds
song, then the image of the these children
singing appears. The clip zooms out and
pans left slightly to show all the children,
emphasising the impact McDonalds has on
children whilst they all do the McDonalds
dance.
Once the clip of the children
disappears a famous quote relating
to business’ is shown on the screen.
3. This part of the clip begins to introduce facts and figures
relating to America and fast foods, particularly McDonalds.
These facts and figures allow the audience to develop their
own opinion on the current topic being discussed within the
documentary. The tone of the voice over is quite deep and
serious. This illustrates how real and serious this is as an issue to
the country. Or how serious this should be raised as an issue.

5. Here graphic features and archive material are being used as
seen in all of the above/previous images. The way in which
they are used is in large varieties. One image shows an
interview as part of the documentary and on the bottom left
hand corner of the screen a title appears introducing who the
man is being interviewer and his occupation. Which, in itself
explains his relevance to the particular topic of this
documentary. Therefore it gives the audience added
information so they fully understand what is happening
throughout the documentary. Other uses of archive material
seen are the images of photographs used. This adds back
round to the narrative and also supports the text being
spoken by the voice over, so the audience get a chance to
see images of what is being described.
6. This is an example of camera work being
used as a hand held camera is used in the
shot to zoom onto the subject, here showing
an extreme close-up of the desired area
relater to the topic (his mouth while he is
eating another meal from McDonalds).
This is an example of more archive material
being used in yet another way. Here the
archive material used is an animation, to
keep the audience engaged in the
documentary and as a visual way to see
what is being said by the voice over.
