The quarterly senior management meeting is taking place soon and our CEO missed some
marketing elements on the Sales and Marketing dashboard. She instructs the CMO to get data to
understand if we engage sufficiently with our current customer base. As our company wants to
expand into new markets, industry specific stats are very important.
Questions to consider for the build
• How many reports? What’s the base dashboard?
• What objects are needed to answer her questions? What filter criteria is needed?
• How much detail is too much detail? What graphical elements are best for what
question?

  • 8. Our scenarios today The quarterly senior management meeting is taking place soon and our CEO missed some marketing elements on the Sales and Marketing dashboard. She instructs the CMO to get data to understand if we engage sufficiently with our current customer base. As our company wants to expand into new markets, industry specific stats are very important. Questions to consider for the build • How many reports? What’s the base dashboard? • What objects are needed to answer her questions?   3. Who asks: C-level: What position are they in? What department are they responsible for? Management: Who is the management reporting to? What do the reporting lines look like? What questions do they have? Listen carefully and ask questions Sometime questions are not very clearly formulated. Dig deeper to get to the correct conclusions Think about your data model and what answer you can get from where Why are they asking? What are the KPIs of the C-level? What are therefore KPIs of the management levels as well as staff? What goals does the company have?

Choose report type according to your requirements: Think of your question, before choosing Not available?
