values for a healthy and better lifestyle.
Inspires an understanding and appreciating of
oneself and others
Improves a skill in students to create
knowledgeable choices in their lives
Encourages lifetime participation in physical
activity
3. Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE)
is one of the six KLAs in the primary school. The other five KLAs
are English, Mathematics, Science and Technology, Human
Society and its Environment, and Creative and Practical Arts.
PDHPE K–6 integrates learning in a number of
previously separate areas of the curriculum. It is
concerned with the development of the whole person
and the improvement of quality of life for all students.
It encourages students to develop a commitment to life
planning.
