3. Presentation
• English language teachers (ELTs) should teach
various presentation techniques to their English
language learners (ELLs) in order to help them
establish the skills necessary to make effective
presentations
6. Pronunciation
• ELTs should spend time working on
pronunciation of difficult words and sounds,
enunciation of particular syllables in a word or
certain words in a sentence for emphasis, and
pacing the speed of their speech

8. Visual Aids
– Visual aids provide excellent support for ELLs
making a presentation. Visual aids help the student
remember what to say and they can also help the
audience understand and follow along.
– A PowerPoint presentation is one of the best tools
for visual aids. ELTs should teach their students to
find other visual aids as well.
11. What Makes a Good
Presentation ?
• The visuals in my presentation match well with the
information I'm communicating, and they help carry the
speech.
• I plan and practice my presentation until I can speak
comfortably and fluently
• I assume my audience knows very little, and then I give
them all the information they need.
• Anxiety gives me stress, and brings negative energy to
my presentation.
12. What Makes a Good
Presentation ?
• I encourage my audience to ask questions at the end of
the presentation
• I pay attention to my nonverbal behavior, like facial
expressions and eye contact, to make sure I stay engaged
with the audience
• I focus on the main part of the presentation more than
the beginning and end, because that's where most of the
information is given
