Responsibility.
• Cub Scouts belong to a Pack and a Den.
3. CUB SCOUTS BELONG TO A PACK AND A DEN.
• We are Pack 531. We meet typically once
per month to celebrate the activities the
Scouts accomplish in their dens.
• Each grade has their own den.
• 1st grade boys are in the Tiger Den.
• 2nd grade boys are in the Wolf Den.

towards becoming Boy Scouts.

THE BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA
• Pack 531 is chartered by Adams Traditional
Academy.
• Volunteers deliver a Scouting program using
BSA guidelines and training.
• The BSA provides online and print training
materials for our volunteer leaders to use.
6. WHO RUNS PACK 531?
• Pack 531 is run by volunteer parents to help deliver a
quality, fun, safe and memorable experience for the boys.
• Chartered Organization Representative (COR): this is the
liaison to the school who helps ensure the Pack runs a
quality program in-line with ATA’s goals.
• Pack Committee: this is the administrative side of the
Pack and helps the Cubmaster and Parents accomplish
the Pack goals.
• The Cubmaster helps with planning, activities and
supporting the Den Leaders who work directly with the
boys.
• The Dens are run by volunteer parents who typically have
their own son in the den. It is suggested to have a regular
den leader and an assistant den leader.
7. PACK 531’S PLAN FOR FUN
• Den meetings for all Dens are 1 hour per week.
• The Tiger Den (1st grade) will meet for an hour only 2 or 3 times
per month.
• Dens follow the Den handbook.
• A scout’s goal is to earn their badge rank by the end of the
school year.
• Parents are encouraged to do many of the fun activities and
electives in the handbooks outside of the den meetings.
• The Pack Meeting is held once a month.
• Family friendly events: family camping trips, Blue & Gold
Banquet, Pinewood Derby, hikes, fishing
trips, bowling, museum visits, service projects and more.
