2. Unit summary This unit entails basic concepts about the nervous system; its two main parts and their functions as well. It will also inform the students about the sub-parts of the major parts of the nervous system. Students will mention different actions being performed by the body and they will relate it to the function of the nervous system.
3. CFQ’S Essential Question Who controls your life? Unit Questions - Who takes control of our body? - What do we use to control our selves? Content Questions - what are the two major parts of the nervous system? - It is called as the body’s “control central”? - What part of the nervous system controls the most basic life functions? - What part of the brain controls the autonomic activities?
4. Students Outputs An illustration of the nervous system with labels. Questions about the nervous system that will be answered by their other classmates. List of some importance of the nervous system.
5. Assessing the Students Students will have to prepare at least 2 questions about what they have understood in the simple discussion about the nervous system The questions they will prepare will be thrown to their classmates, and the chosen student will have to answer that question.
6. General Goals that my students should know! Identify the major parts of the nervous system. Explain the function of each part. Illustrate how the nervous system works.
7. Things I want my students to learn They should be able to exercise their questioning ability through the activity given to them. They should be able to draw the major parts of the nervous system. I want them to recite some of the importance of the nervous system, according to what they understood.
