Non verbal communication deals with how to communicate aspect rather than what to communicate. The effectiveness of communication in the interpersonal context dependence much on non verbal cues. This presentation deals with several aspects of non verbal cues to the communication

Nervous person Affect displayers : When you are excited Emblems : OK, Thumps down, Thumps up, V sign (Each society has its own series of emblems. Liars talk less and gesture less
- 14. Postures Postures can transmit innermost feelings. (standing , sitting) Hands rapped around the body Angle : Straight or side Each posture, each movement, each gaze - is a message sent from within. Try and figure out - what is the meaning of each posture?

Intimate Zone : – Less than 18” from tip of the nose – Reserved for intimate expressions – Perceived as rude Personal Zone: 1 ½ - 2 ½ ‘ – Reserved for good friends and loved ones Social Zone : 3’- 4 ½’ Public Zone : Beyond 5’ Space influences what we talk Distance differs across cultures
