According to the Federal Reserve, the average weekly rate of
commercial loan growth in 2017 was 2.7%, down from 9.3% in 2016,
and double digits in 2015.
• Credit Unions: Strong prospects for economic prosperity
Despite mortgage and auto lending challenges, the Money Anxiety
Index—which measures various economic indicator and factors
associated with consumers’ level of financial worry and stress—is at
its lowest level in 47 years.
