Federal prosecutors described Garnett Smith as “one of the largest cocaine and heroin dealers to be prosecuted in Baltimore in recent history” ahead of his sentencing Thursday. He was convicted of trafficking more than 1,000 kilograms of cocaine to Baltimore from California, reaping profits of at least $10 million. Authorities provided a slideshow of images of some of the estimated $6.7 million in property – including apartments, luxury cars and jewelry – that Smith spent his drug money on.
