Folklore Ensemble 'Pancharevo' was founded in 1957 in Sofia, Bulgaria and has since popularized Bulgarian folk art. The ensemble performs music, songs, and dances from all regions of Bulgaria, especially the Sofia region, keeping traditional styles from ancient times. Succession is important to the ensemble, with many generations and families participating to authentically represent Bulgarian folklore. 'Pancharevo' has won several prestigious awards, including Bulgaria's highest cultural prize named for Cyril and Methodius, and participates in many local and international festivals.
