2. WHAT IS ONLINE LEARNING….
• Online learning is education that takes place over the Internet. However, online learning is just
one type of distance learning for any learning that takes place across distance and not in a
traditional classroom.
• Allow instructors to design and deliver their courses within a flexible framework that includes a
number of different tools to enable learning.

3. STRATEGIES FOR ONLINE LEARNING?
• Communicate regularly with the professor
Opening and using these lines of communication will benefit you both during and beyond the
course. During the course, it’s important to ask questions when the material or assignments are
unclear
• Active participate.
Participate in the course’s online to help you better understand course materials and engage with
fellow classmates.

4. PROS
• Flexibility: If you work, have a family or just a busy life, it can be difficult to fit traditional
classroom time in. Online courses are convenient and flexible.
• Fast: there is so much independent work in an online program, you set the pace. You can work
as quickly as you want.
• More comfortable learning :Students listen to lectures and complete assignments sent to them
electronically.

5. CONS
• Limits: Some content isn’t offered in an online format.
• Learning styles: Today’s online instruction is often geared
toward a variety of learners. Whether you like to listen to
lectures or watch videos, you can find an online resource.
• Independent: Online programs require you to take charge
of your education. No one will make you sign on, complete
assignments and upload them on time.
• Technology problems: Online students with computer or
Internet problems will be unable to complete their
assignments or exams as required.

6. LIMITATIONS OF ONLINE LEARNING
• Requires self-discipline – if you lack self-discipline its unlikely that they will be
motivated to self studies
• Possible lack of control- risk just going through the material without paying any
attention.
