2. What is a parent?
A parent is a caretaker of the offspring in their
own species.
A person's father or mother who bring up, be
the parent of, look after, take care
of, rear, raise and nurture.

6. Authoritarian Parenting Style

rules for our mutual benefit.
• They set clear standards for
their child's conduct, but their
disciplinary methods are
supportive, rather than
punitive.

8. Permissive Parenting Style
There are no rules.
Gives up all control to their
kids.
They are overly accepting of
their children's behaviour,
good or bad.

9. Uninvolved Parenting Style
the parent is totally
disengaged and emotionally
uninvolved in their child's life.
There is little, if any expression
of love and affection...
In extreme cases, this parenting style might
encompass both rejection and neglect.
