This document profiles six speakers for a social media workshop on corporate social responsibility. In the morning session, the speakers are Mr. Edgardo Amistad, founder of the ASEAN CSR Network; Mr. Lemuel Braña, president of two IT companies and consultant for various organizations; and Hon. SPEAKER PROFILES (AM SESSION)
MR. EDGARDO C. AMISTAD
Mr. Edgardo Amistad is the founding and current chair of the ASEAN
CSR Network, as well as the president of UCPB-CIIF Finance &
Development Corporation and UCPB-CIIF Foundation, Incorporated.
He also serves as chairman of the Coconut Committee of the
Philippine Chamber of Agriculture and Foods, and sits in the board of
the Philippine Disaster and Recovery Foundation. Edgardo is also
active as a director of the National Cooperative Movement where he
participates in various projects and programs related to improving
and advancing the cooperative system in the Philippines. Edgardo is
the immediate past Chairman of The League of Corporate
Foundations and is currently in the advisory board of the said organization. His most recent
appointment is as member of the board of the National Nutrition Council.
Edgardo holds a degree in commerce major in business administration from the University of
Santo Tomas, and is a candidate for a master's degree in business administration at the
Polytechnic University of the Philippines. He also completed a program for development
managers at the Asian Institute of Management, and is an active member of its alumni
association.
MR. LEMUEL RODOLFO BRAÑA, PH. D., MTM
Mr. Lemuel Braña is the President/CEO and Lead Consultant of two
IT companies, namely the Cobra Itech Services Corporation and ATX
Global Solutions and Consulting Inc. He is also currently a Software
Engineer and IT Consultant for Philhealth, and Deputy Team Lead
Quality Assurance for the eUP Project at the University of the
Philippines. Moreover, he is a Consultant for the UP Information
Technology Development Center.
Truly an “Iskolar ng Bayan”, Mr. Braña holds a Bachelor’s Degree in
Business Administration specializing in Business Applications; Master of Technology
Management specializing in Information Technology; and a Doctor of Philosophy (Education,
Curriculum, and Instruction) all from the University of the Philippines, Diliman.

SPEAKER PROFILES (AM SESSION)
HON. CRISTINO L. PANLILIO, MBA
Acknowledged in the private sector for his excellence in marketing
management, Mr. Cristino Panlilio now serves as Undersecretary of
the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), heading the Trade and
Investment Promotions Group (TIPG) which makes him the “Chief
Commercial Marketing Officer” of the country.
Before joining government service, Mr. Panlilio had a long and
exemplary background in utility companies, food and banking
sectors. He was President of Balibago Waterworks System, Inc.
(BWSI), a director of San Fernando Electric Light & Power Co. (SFELAPCO) Inc., and managing
director of Pampanga Sugar Development Company (PASUDECO), Inc. between 1997 to 2010.
He was President of the Universal Food Corp, maker of UFC Catsup, from 1992 to 1997, and
Ketmar Fastfood Corporation (a McDonald’s franchisee) till 2010. He also had two decades of
sterling background in the banking sectors, holding various positions at the Far East Bank from
1973 to 1979, where he became an Assistant Vice-President. He then served as Vice-President
and then Senior Vice-President of PCIBank from 1981 to 1993.
He was a recipient of the AGORA Award for his marketing management excellence, given by the
Philippine Marketing Association in 1990, and an outstanding past president of the Rotary Club
of Makati. He graduated with honors from Ateneo de Manila with a bachelor’s degree in AB
Economics in 1973. He pursued his MBA from the same institution with A-grade average. He
took Advance Management Program in Wharton School of Finance in Philadelphia, USA.

Dr. Robin Yap, LLB, DM, CTDP
Dr. Robin Yap, LLB, DM, CTDP is a Toronto-based social learning
strategist, executive coach and consultant specializing in developing
and implementing Technology-to-Training Integration Strategies and
Programs, Training Department Staff Standards of Practice and
Competency Modeling, Social Learning Modeling, Next Generation
Human Capital Development, and Certification Programs.
Robin’s years of talent development experience includes working with
Global Fortune 500 companies like Accenture Learning and Sun Microsystems/Oracle in the
USA, Rogers Telecommunications, Automatic Data Processing (ADP), Marsh McClennan, TD
Bank Group, Canadian Tire, Research in Motion (RIM), in Canada and German-based company,
Worldhotels. His speakerships include sessions at Oxford Brookes [UK], New York University
Stern, Columbia University Teacher’s College [USA], Universidad de Catalunya [Spain], St.
Anthony School System [Philippines], International Christian University [Japan], IIUM University
[Malaysia], Mount Saint Vincent University, George Brown College [Canada], Aalborg University,
Open University [Denmark], among others.
Believing in the scholar-practice model, Robin authors and speaks at international conferences
in the areas of technology-and-social media-to-training integration, adult learning, leadership
development, and training department strategies. He is also an adjunct professor at George
Brown College in Toronto whose alumni includes celebrity chef Mark McEwan, Randy Morton,
President/COO of Bellagio Las Vegas, and Paul Rowan, co-founder of Umbra.
Robin represented the USA to build the International Standards Organisation’s ISO29990 on
Standards for Learning Services Providers. He’s been on executive boards like the International
Board of Standards in Training, Performance, and Instruction [ibstpi] and the American Society
for Training and Development [ASTD]. His blog, robinyap.com, has been recognized as one of

Mr. Edward Perry, MBA
Mr. Edward Perry, MBA is the Global Senior Director of Social
Media, Online Travel Agency Partnerships and Innovation
Projects at Worldhotels, based in Frankfurt. He manages
global social outreach for Worldhotels and a team of social
media professionals in the USA, Germany, and Singapore. He
also oversees strategic alliances globally between online
booking and technology partners and Worldhotels' portfolio
of over 500 properties worldwide. Edward’s more than two
decade experience includes working with Global Fortune 500
companies including Macy’s.
Edward is a Secretary on the Board of the Hotel Electronic Distribution Network Association
(HEDNA). He pens EyeforTravel’s Social Media and Marketing column. Edward is also the Co-
Chair of Online Revealed, Canada’s largest social media conference.
Edward has spoken at industry conferences around the globe, including EyeforTravel, STR
Global, and Federated Press. His sessions also include speakerships at New York University
Stern School of Business (USA), Universitat de Catalunya (Spain), George Brown College and
Ryerson University (Canada), among others.
Edward holds an MBA in Global Business Management from the University of Phoenix and a
double Baccalaureate in German and International Relations from Schiller International
University in Heidelberg, Germany and Madrid, Spain.
