This document describes two early Christian spiritual groups in Korea - the East Coast Church and West Coast Church - that received revelations in the early 20th century preparing for the Second Coming of Jesus. The East Coast Church was led by men like Paek Nam-ju and Lee Yeong-do and focused on spiritual teachings. The West Coast Church was led by women like Kim Son-do and Ho Ho-bin and focused on physical preparations like making clothes for the Messiah. Although these groups suffered greatly under Japanese occupation and later communism, their foundation helped pave the way for the Unification Church established by Sun Myung Moon, with whom the spiritual leaders did not connect.
