Please be sure to be thorough
and detailed as possible.
Especially on you “Biography” and your
“Dossier.”
On the Dossier, you may include
assignments and tests from Japanese 1 or 2!
3. +
For cultural experiences, you can
reference cultural discussions
from class, or culture cafes that
you have attended.
Feel free to share your own personal cultural
experiences, too!

You DO NOT need to fill out the
cover pages with your name and
district on them.
This page can not be edited. For some
reason, the file has some kind of editing lock.
I do not know how to fix this. I will still know it
is your assignment from the submission form.

If you do not have your
Linguafolio Notebook
Documents…
go to the link on the left hand side of the
course marked “LinguaFolio.”
You will find the necessary documents in the
folder marked “LinguaFolio Notebook
documents.”

Step 1: Complete the Biography
Go through each page of the Biography. Fill out each
page that applies to you. With the exception of
perhaps Pages 5 (Hosting an Exchange Student), 8
(Pen Pals), 10 (Exchanges and Study Visits), and 15,
Language and Intercultural Experiences, you should
have something written for all or most of the pages.
Each entry should be followed by "J2F".

Step 2: Complete the Passport
The Passport is an overview of your experiences
and ability with different languages. It records
formal qualifications and diplomas, as well as self-
assessments, and can be updated frequently. The
Passport includes:
A summary of language learning and intercultural
experiences or language courses, including
formal instruction, summer study, academies,
camps, travel and/or study abroad, etc.
A self-assessment grid and global scale.

Step 3: Complete your Checklist.
Update the Novice-Intermediate checklist..

Step 4: Complete the Dossier
Cover Page and Table of
Contents
What is the Dossier? It is a collection of samples of work and
certificates chosen by you to document and illustrate your
language skills, experiences, and achievements. It can be used to
demonstrate your language abilities to others. When you take your
Dossier with you to other schools or a job, you should include your
Final Project plus your biography, checklist, and passport for your
records. You should also keep these for your records.
Complete the Dossier Cover Page (actually you can’t do this
because the file doesn’t give you editing rights, so don’t worry
about it) and Table of Contents.
You will submit your final project separately for grading purposes.
