1.1 Contact
The observation company where I did my training is the Ltd (Private Limited Company)
Voorhaen - Colour & Decoration (SVD). It is located in Herzele. SVD has been active as a
painting company for more than 30 years.
Voorhaen - Colour & Decoration is a professional total decorator and they deliver quality work
for painting, wallpapering and floor covering. They take on general painting as well as interior
decorating works. They only have 1 seat with different employees. Voorhaen Works employs
four labourers and three managers.
I contacted Ltd Voorhaen - Colour & Decoration after a brainstorm with classmates about
possible observations companies in the area. We came up with the idea that in Hoogstraat in
Herzele multiple companies are located, companies with a marketing function.
In May 2014 I took the initiative to go the company and asked if I could do my observation
tasks there. I contacted with Mrs De Jaegher Francine. She is one of the managers in the
company .She signed all my documents and my GIP-card. She is also my supervisor during my
GIP-tasks.
1.2 Location
The company Colour & Decoration is located in Herzele.
The address : Hoogstraat 179c in 9550 Herzele.
There they receive their interior stylists, the customers to help their customers with the right
choices

1.3 Suppliers
Colour & Decoration are the suppliers Voorhaen, Campaert, Diaz, Inside, Textdecor.
Voorhaen produces the paint that is for sale in the shop.
Campaert delivers all types of window decoration, it is a total supplier.
Diaz delivers only window decoration.
Inside, like Diaz, only do window decoration. And Textdecor delivers only window decoration
and wall paper.
1.4 Market
Voorhaen’s market is everywhere, it can be close to home, but they also have customers far
from Herzele.
Far Colour & Decoration the market is: Herzele, Zottegem, Wetteren, Sint-Lievens-Houtem,
Sint-Antelinks, Zwalm, Strijpen, Leeuwergem.
