Lecturers can order books if they follow this procedure

Procedure to Search and request / order books
1. Go to the UP library web page; (http://www.library.up.ac.za
2. Click on “Teaching support”
3. (http://www.satextbooks.net/upii/staff/login.aspx);
4. Login: UP email address e.g. jan.nel@up.ac.za
5. Password: personnel number
Register: as a new user if necessary;
1. The register button is on the blue toolbar
2. You will receive a notification letter from the system if you are active on
the system.
3. Click on Reset password if you have forgotten it;

2. Procedure to search for books
Click on Search choose applicable search
Basic search : use any keyword / author / ISBN / title;

•Title not found: complete form. SAPNet will send you the info to add
on your Wish List;
Add book to wish list

5. Advanced search
search for more than 1 ISBN’s simultaneously;
“Add to list” block in grey = book already in library;

6. •Wish List: click on the expand button (orange icon on the left) to
order the book. Complete form. Green tick in Wish List will show that
the order info is sent to the information specialist;

7. Click on trolley to order book
