18. CEMENT PLANT AUTOMATION

Recent developments within the cement
industry have seen widespread
implementation of computational
technologies into the automation of
production processes.
The raw mill subsystem and cement mill
subsystem can be automatically turned
on and off. The temperature and current
of the supply oil system of the mill and
main equipment are monitored and
controlled and can be optimized and
adjusted by manipulating the
parameters.

19. FURNACE AUTOMATION
(SAHINLER METALS, TURKEY)
The rotary furnace is rotated by a friction drive
wheel system depending upon the size and
production requirements. A single door is
utilized with either vertical, horizontal rotation
or a pendulum type swing arrangement
depending upon the plant layout.
Rotary furnaces have been traditionally static
but over recent years tilting designs have been
implemented due to the many advantages with
regard to reduced cycle times, yields and
consumptions.
Dedicated controller for burner control was
provided along with furnace door controls and
fume treatment system.

20. INK PLANT (DIC INDIA)
This control system ensures the entire
management of raw materials, product
formulation, sub-recipes and recipes,
inventories, production and cleaning
sequences. Parameter setting enables
control system to optimize the
production. Our control system is a
plant-wide control system integrating
sub-systems such as PLCs,
controllers, MMIs. It has not limits in
communicating with other systems
such as lab or business systems.

21. DISTILLERY (Himalayan Distillery, Nepal)
SOFCON provided complete
automation solution for the
fermentation unit that included PLC
control and field instruments. All
critical control loops of temperature;
pressure and flow were controlled and
monitored. Distillation is a non-ideal,
azeotropic process involving several
controlled and manipulated variables.

23. TURBINE SYNCHRONIZATION (HI-TECH CARBON, OUDH

Sofcon has undertaken several challenges
in power plant automation i.e. turbine and
DG automation.
Following are the features of the automation
that Sofcon offers to the power plant
customers:
•Synchronization of Turbine generator with
another turbine generator.
•Synchronization of Turbine generator with
grid and control of active and reactive
power.
•Auto load sharing (active and reactive
power) between TG sets at the time of auto
isolation of TG sets with grid.

25. SCADA RTU SYSTEM OF SOLAR POWER PLANT AT
MAHAGENCO
Mahagenco is the major power generating company in the state of Maharashtra, India. Its power
stations are located at different regions of Maharashtra. Solar Power Station of MAHAGENCO shall
produce power through the use of modern technology & environmentally conductive work practices.
The Sakri solar power plant in Maharashtra's Dhule district is touted as the world's largest solar power
plant till date.Sakri Solar Power Plant is at Shivajinagar in Sakri some 70 kms from this tribal district
headquarter in North Maharashtra
The entire solar photovoltaic power project in Sakri has a capacity to generate 150MW of electricity. This
is the maximum production at one place in the world
