I'm now retired, after 20 years working at Digital Equipment Corporation, 7 years working at Oracle, and finally 6 years at Rivier College in Nashua, NH. It's been, in general, a great ride. Would that there were any companies like Digital to work for any more! I started out as a physicist, but once I received my Ph.D., I switched to computers, and enjoyed riding the incredible mini-computer revolution. I also experienced the PC revolution, which Digital unfortunately missed. I'm still trying to keep up with things, but it's virtually impossible to keep up with everything, so I try to keep up with Java, C++, Databases, Web Development, and that's way too much!
