Our proteins

Our protein quality assurance
Proteins are not all equal as to their nutritional content. Vegetable proteins are deficient in tryptophane, lysine
and methionine, 3 essential amino acids. They are also not absorbed as well by the body: their digestive
coefficient use is on average 60% vs 100% for animal proteins.

Protein’s digestion speed
In 1997, Bernard Beaufrère’s team from Clermont-Ferrand’s human nutrition research laboratory discovered that
whey proteins are more rapidly digested than caseins. That’s when we started distinguishing between «slow»
proteins, highly efficient from a metabolic point of view (they have a powerful anti-catabolic action) and «fast»
proteins.
Conclusion ?
Slowly digested proteins like casein, found predominantly in Inovacure protein powders,
promotes their good metabolic utilization.
This metabolic utilization leads to a good protein synthesis and to a good body muscle

Understanding protein’s thermogenic action
The eating action produces a thermogenic phenomenon caused by increased activity in the digestive system.
Even if proteins bring as many calories as carbohydrates, they however do not have the same effect in the body.
More than 25% of ingested calories are indeed wasted as body heat vs only 10% for sugars and 1% for fat.
It’s probably because proteins are harder to digest.
Also remember that more than every other protein, casein, which is found in great proportions in Inovacure
products, is a particularly thermogenic protein, therefore very efficient in increasing fat loss while preserving

Tryptophane / free amino acids ratio
Tryptophane is the precursor for serotonine, a neurotransmitter acting on the satiety center to reduce appetite.
An increase in the concentration of tryptophane induces an increase in the secretion of serotonine.
During the transfer of amino acids from the blood to the brain, tryptophane is competing with free amino acids.
The higher the tryptophane / free amino acids ratio, the more important is the cerebral transport, increasing the
synthesis of serotonine. The tryptophane / free amino acids ratio of INOVACURE proteins seems generally
higher than that of standard food proteins. The consumption of Inovacure proteins, by stimulating the
synthesis of serotonine, would therefore be a factor in appetite reduction.

Reduced carbohydrate and low glycemic index (GI) carbohydrate
Our ancestors have always, for millions of years, only seen low glycemic index foods (roots, tubers, plants, fruits
with their bark or skin). The body has adapted accordingly, it is therefore very poorly equipped to ingest high GI
foods which provide an abrupt influx of glucose into the body. In order to capture the excess of blood glucose,
