code for a particular bank. These codes are used when transferring money between
banks by international wire transfers. If you don’t know your bank’s SWIFT or BIC
Code, please contact your bank or have a look on your bank statement.
A SWIFT or BIC code is either 8 or 11 characters long. The first 4 characters
(the bank code) are made up the letters, the 5th & 6th characters are letters
(the country code), the 7th and 8th characters are letters or numbers (the location
code) and the 9th to 11th characters (which are optional) are letters and numbers
(the branch code).
