Brazil enacted the “Internet Bill of Rights”, signed into law by President Dilma Roussef. According to a study conducted by Burson-Marsteller Brazil, the project was supported by 69% of people on the Brazilian social networks. Twitter was the main channel to promote the debate around the bill of rights, with 92% of mentions. Protection to online privacy, and Net neutrality, with the goal to promote the Internet as a public utility were some of the main themes of discussion.
