9. Students demonstrated a clear understanding of portraiture and
self imagery through object and mirror drawing.
Finished products all reached an above average level.
The learning objectives were met through the extremely varied
activities which engaged a wide range of design and reflective
skills from concrete to abstract to implied.
Students were able to reach all descriptors through the use of
rubrics, viewing of exemplars and ongoing peer, teacher and
group assessment in formal and informal ways.
Students were able to effectively and accurately evaluate their
work and reflect on their strengths and weaknesses so that
those skills could be focused on in future assignments (for
example, shading on a gradient, blending colours seamlessly).
