Sultan Cem , was the half brother of Bayezid II and the
grandfather of Suleiman the Magnificent of the Ottoman
dynasty. He was a pretender to the Byzantine Throne and
ultimately fled to a city by the river Tiber.

Gordon of Khartoum, was a British army officer, who had been sent to
Sudan to orchestrate the evacuation of Khartoum due to the rebellion
occurring there. Upon arrival, however, he declared that he would not
evacuate and would instead fight the rebels, resulting in a siege situation. A

asked to guide the team up the Nile.
