The New England Patriots defeated the New York Jets in Foxborough 30-23 on October 25th, 2015. The Patriots did not have much of a ground game but road Tom Brady's arm to victory.
2. Patriots Win 30-23
• The New England Patriots remain undefeated following a
30-23 win over the New York Jets in Foxborough on
Sunday
• The Patriots improved to 6-0, tops in the AFC East and the
Jets fell to 4-2
• Coming into the game, tensions were high as they always
are when these two teams meet
• Current Jet Darrelle Revis returned to Foxborough for the
first time since last season when he won a Super Bowl with
New England
3. Dion Lewis Out
• New England had an
interesting game plan, throw
the ball early and often
• Dion Lewis, the new “Shane
Vereen” of the Patriot offense
was ruled out with an abdomen
injury
• That left all the running back
duties to LeGarrette Blount and
James White
4. Gronk Key to Win
• It was quarterback Tom Brady who
led the Patriots in rushing with just
15 yards
• Brady had 15 yards on 4 carries of
which one went for a touchdown
• Blount added 3 carries for -3 yards
and James White had 2 carries for
4 yards
• Rob Gronkowski had a big game
for the Patriots recording 11
receptions for 108 yards and a
critical 4th quarter touchdown
5. LaFell Struggled
• Wide receiver Brandon LaFell
returned for the Patriots after
starting the season on the IR
Designated to Return list
• However, LaFell showed a lot
of rust
• LaFell finished with 2 catches
for 25 yards but dropped 6
passes, unacceptable for any
NFL team
6. • The Patriots have a short turn around time to
continue their undefeated season as they host the
Miami Dolphins on Thursday night at home
• This a re-born Miami Dolphins team under interim
head coach Dan Campbell
• In two games under Campbell, the Dolphins have
taken care of the Titans and Texans with ease
• It will be interesting to see how they fair against
the Patriots, a much more competitive opponent
