2. Midnight grace As my collection was influenced by the classic, Tchaikovsky ballet, Swan Lake, my main goal was to create a look and feeling of fluidity and grace. The wearer will feel as though she can glide instead of walk as ballerinas do. Through dance and music, Swan Lake conveys love, wanting, searching and vengeance. Midnight Grace portrays these strong emotions through textiles, color and design.
10. Pyrite Most of my inspiration from this piece came from the colors of these beautiful rocks and crystals. In addition to that, the structures of these rocks were amazing. In all of the shapes that they formed, I found myself being mostly drawn to the sharp and ridged outlines.
12. Bottoms up This was a conceptual piece where the goal was to take a men's 2 piece suit and design women's wear out of it. I found the inner structure of the waistband on this suit interesting, so I just went from there. I only utilized the pants from the suit to drape my piece. I used the pin-stripes on the material and the folds of the drape to inspire my design.
13. Fame I was trying to imagine what the love child of glam rock and the golden age of Hollywood would look like (fashion wise) and this is what I came up with. With using a combination of darker color and shiny fabrics I tried to create glamour with and edge
