• An organization is at best a structured tool that
concentrates abilities towards a purpose either static
or progressive.
• Organizations were not built for the people in the
organizations but for the purpose it seeks to advance.
• Every individual, machinery, technology, policy and
even government within and outside the organization
is only relevant to the organization to the extent which
it affects its purpose
5. What Every CEO Wants You to Know
• “If you need a job; please do not come here; we are
busy. However if you can take some of this work;
make us less busy and make our lives less hectic,
come in…in fact where have you been; we have been
expecting you.”
6. Writing An Effective Resume
• Think of your resume as a commercial venture where
you are a product and your main aim is to draw
attention to your skills and work experience.
• Use easy to read fonts such as Palatino, Time Roman
of size 11 or 12.
• Tailor your resume to each position you are applying
for
• Profread your resume for grammatical errors

8. PREPARING FOR AN INTERVIEW
• Research the company
• Remember the position you applied for
• Develop concise answers to likely questions
• Choose your clothes ahead
• Know the company address and how to find it
• If you can, find a staff of the company and ask
questions about the company’s current projects and
how your skills can fit in.
9. WAITING AT THE RECEPTION
• Sit up
• Do not look nervous
• Greet people who pass by
• Do not sleep
• Do not make loud phone calls
• Put your phone on silent or
switch it off
• If you find a journal about
the company, request it and
quickly review.
11. ANSWERING QUESTIONS
• Be concise and confident
• Provide qualitative and quantitative data
• Use the STAR (Situation, Task, Action, Result) format in
answering questions on experience
• Answer Cheerfully
• Do not overstate your abilities
• Appear ready to take up challenges
• Do not just discuss yourself,
SELL yourself
