So Moses went back and summoned the
elders of the people and set before them all
the words the LORD had commanded him to
speak. 8 The people all responded together,

    "We will do everything the
LORD has said." So Moses brought
their answer back to the LORD.

Now, Israel, hear the decrees and laws I am about
    to teach you.
Follow them so that you may live
and may go in and take possession of the land
that the LORD, the God of your ancestors, is giving you. 2
Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract
from it, but keep the commands of the LORD your God
    that I give you.

1 My son, if you accept my words
and store up my commands within you,
2 turning your ear to wisdom
and applying your heart to understanding—
3 indeed, if you call out for insight
         and cry aloud for understanding,
4 and if you look for it as for silver
and search for it as for hidden treasure,
5 then you will understand the fear of the

       Genesis 1
1 In the beginning God created the
                                      2 And the

And the Spirit of God moved upon
the face of the waters. 3 And God
said, Let there be light: and there
                           was light.

                  2. Recognize that God is
                  familiar with suffering.
3 He was despised and rejected by others,
Isaiah 53 a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.

Like one from whom people hide their faces
he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.
4 Surely he took up our pain
                                   and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God,
                                   stricken by him, and afflicted.
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions,
                                   he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed.

    3. BREAK the CYCLE of Death
47So Aaron did as Moses said, and ran into the
midst of the assembly. The plague had
already started among the people, but
Aaron offered the incense and made
atonement for them. 48 He stood
                           between the living and the
                           dead, and the plague
                           stopped.
