work on the bracket.

All submitted heroines will be placed in a random
drawing for match-ups. The number of match-ups
will be determined by the number of entries.
(Here’s an example of how 7 entries would work)

6. The first round will take place starting Jan. 11
Each round/match will take one week starting on
a Saturday and ending on the following Friday.

When their round starts, their authors go to work…

8. Authors must scramble to gather
votes for their character to win
the match.
Votes will be collected via a poll
on the Society’s website. Only
percentages (not actual
number of votes) will be
displayed. Votes will be limited
to one per person.

10. The Society will post the excerpt
that you provided during entry
and a voter giveaway with each
round, but it is up to you to fight
for votes for your character.
- Bribe readers with sneak
peeks at future work once a
certain level of votes is
achieved
- Host random giveaways to
voters that pick your winner
- Shout it from the rooftop
- Develop your own strategy

Voting will end at midnight eastern on Friday at
the end of the match week. The character with the
most votes is declared the winner of that match
and will advance on to the next round.

On Saturday, the next match begins. In our
example, this will be Bay vs. Bella.

We will continue through the bracket until the
FINAL. The Final match will be extended to cover
two weeks and will end on Saturday for maximum
exposure.

14. The timeline of the Smackdown will be
dependent on the number of entries, with one
week for each match and two weeks for the final
ending on Saturday
For example, in a 7 princess tourney:
Jan 11- 17: Round 1, Match 1
Jan 18-24: Round 1, Match 2
Jan 25-31: Round 1, Match 3
Feb 1-7: Round 2, Match 1
Feb 8-14: Round 2, Match 2
Feb 14-Mar 1: Final

15. At the end,
a PRINCESS SMACKDOWN CHAMPION
will be crowned
and immortalized on the Society’s website
