2. HUMAN VALUES
• Thinking with love is truth
• Feeling with love is peace
• Acting with love is right conduct
• Understanding with love is non-violence.
3. INTRODUCTION
Human values are closely related with human
life. No human life is possible without values.
Human values are those universal concept,
drivers of action which are found in all
cultures, all societies, all time and in all
places where human beings existing.

Human values have an inherent energy and
dynamism. Human values do not follow the
laws of physical science. They cannot be
depleted. Normally, when we spend energy or
our resources we become drained of energy to
the extent of our expenditure. But human
values multiply as they are applied, used,
expressed and acted out. They benefit both the
giver and the recipient.
5. TYPES OF HUMAN VALUES
The five human values, which can be found in all
cultures, all societies and in all religions, are:
• Truth
• Love
• Peace
• Justice
• Non-violence
These values are eternal essences.
6. TRUTH
• Learning to speak the truth is a first and vital
step in the formation of strong character.
• Telling lies hurts ourselves as well as others
in a subtle, but very real way.
7. LOVE
• Love is not an emotion, affected by the
subconscious mind, but is a pure reaction from
the heart.
• It is power of love which causes one person to
wish happiness for another and take pleasure in
their well-being.
• Love is unconditional positive regard for the
good of another. It is giving and unselfish.
8. PEACE
• We smile when we are happy and contented.
• Inner agitation stops and we are left feeling
peaceful. We there is peace in the individual,
there will be peace in family, when there is
peace in the family, there will be peace in the
community. In order to learn self esteem,
calmness and freedom from anxiety are
necessary.
9. NON-VIOLENCE
• Nonviolence is the personal practice of being
harmless to self and others under every
condition. It comes from the belief that
hurting people, animals or the environment is
unnecessary to achieve an outcome and
refers to a general philosophy of abstention
from violence.
10. JUSTICE
• Fairness in protection of rights and
punishment of wrongs. While all legal
systems aim to uphold this idea through fair.
• Stop honor-killing.
13. BASIC HUMAN ASPIRATIONS
• We desire for many things in this world, say
materialistic needs, respect, recognition, love,
trust etc, but in the form of all these we apsire
for true and continuous happiness and
prosperity.
• Happiness: “To be in a state of liking is
happiness.” To be in a state of harmony is
happiness.”
• Prosperity: Feeling of having more than required
physical facility.
