Notes de l'éditeur
Speaking points: Add voice to each slide according to these notes:
If you are watching these slides, it is either the beginning of the school year or you are a new student here at Eau Gallie High School. All students are required to become familiar with Network and Internet safety and to apply these guidelines when using a computer.
Your Network user ID is your student number and your network password will be created by you upon first logon. You may never use another person’s logon credentials and you may not use a computer unless you are successfully logged in. You should not ever share your network password for any reason.
There may be times when you forget your password or lock yourself out of the system. Mrs. Burns will help you reset your password. Her office is in the media center. Another option is to wait 45 minutes and your account will unlock.
Eau Gallie students may access websites for research directed by their teacher. Students may not use chat rooms or instant messaging on district computers.
Computers in all EGHS classrooms and business labs are monitored by the Network Operations Center in Viera.
Always tell a teacher if you stumble upon an inappropriate website. We can have these sites blocked. And, if a site you need for research is blocked, there are steps we can take to try to unblock the site.
Websites that you might create as part of a Web Development class or for a teacher are the property of Brevard County Schools.
Many of the newer computers are no longer being purchased with floppy disk drives. A USB drive, often known as a jump drive or pen drive is your best bet for saving files you will need to use again later.
Hackers are removed from ALL computer courses and reassigned to courses that do not require use of a computer. They are also prohibited from using the media center computing resources. Any malicious use of District computers or network services to harass other users or infiltrate a computer is prohibited.
By signing the Acceptable Use Policy, you and your parents indicate an understanding of the Network Computer Use policy designed by our school system.
Finally, common sense prevails with computers as with most daily activities in a school. If you follow computer Netiquette, you will remain in good standing as a computer user at EGHS.
